DIRECTOR
Elaine Gallagher
Elaine graduated from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Early Childhood Education in 1989. She earned her Master of Education from Saint Francis University in 1996 and became certified in Library Sciences K-12 in 2006. Her teaching experience includes over 30 years working with children in preschool, kindergarten, and fourth grade. Elaine is the Director of Creative Kids Education Center.
MEET OUR WONDERFUL TEACHERS
Carol Kelly
Carol has an Associate of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education from Keystone College in LaPlume, PA. Carol’s previous experience includes preschool teacher, early intervention teacher, group supervisor, tutor and assistant preschool teacher for over 30 years. Carol teaches our half-day preschool students at Creative Kids Education Center. She also helps with our before and after school age program and full day preschool students.
Jeannie Rightnour
Jeannie earned a Child Development Associate Credential from Penn Highlands Community College. Jeannie was a lead teacher when she first started working in child care. She also worked with special needs students and held the position of Assistant Group Supervisor with infants through school age students. Jeannie was responsible for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate lessons for her students to meet their many different learning styles. She has over 30 years of experience in childcare. Jeannie works with our older full day students and our school age students.
Loretta Olson
Loretta graduated from Villa Maria College, in Erie, PA with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education. She did post graduate work at the Pennsylvania State University. She previously taught second grade for one year, first grade for three years, preschool for seven years, and Kindergarten for fifteen years. Loretta is here in the early mornings each day greeting our students and parents with a friendly smile. Loretta teaches in our half-day preschool classes as well as our full day preschool classrooms. She also works with our school age students.
Wendy Sharer
Wendy graduated from York College of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Recreation and Leisure Administration, with a therapeutic emphasis. She has over 25 year of experience providing recreational therapy to patients in Health South Rehab. Hospital, to residents of the Transitional Care Unit of Bon Secours Hospital, and most recently to patients of the Crichton Rehab. unit of Lee Hospital in Johnstown. Wendy works with our full day preschool students and our school age students at Creative Kids Education Center.
Kaylie Gallagher
Kaylie graduated from Shippensburg University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing in 2019. She took various early education courses during her time at Shippensburg and has had many years of experiences with young children. She has volunteered and worked at Creative Kids ever since our school has opened in 2009. Kaylie has had over 8 years of experience at our school from first observing and volunteering, to now being full-time teacher. She looks forward for the opportunity to combine her business and early educational skills to help her mom, Elaine Gallagher, open a second education center that is now in the planning stages!
